I am spending the Half Term relaxing on the beach in the Western Region of Ghana. It has given me some time to reflect on my visit to schools in and around Accra over the previous week. It as been a fascinating experience. I have had time to make a short movie about the visit. I’ve not had many chances to get my head around iMovie – and this is my first proper attempt. It’s still a first draft (do you make drafts of movies?). Any feedback would be appreciated.
It really was a fantastic learning experience for everyone involved. I am really excited about my visit to Ghana in February! This visit is part of Global School Partnership betweeen Moselle, William Harvey and New Horizon and Castle Road, funded by the British Council and DFID.
IT Schools Africa donated 156 computers to Ghana schools. Funded by the Rhiannon Trust, Teachers Beyond Borders shipped the computers to Ghana for distribution to schools. Shipping and Clearance were far from straight forward so if you are an organisation wishing to send educational resources to Ghana, please contact us first for advice. Teachers Beyond Borders offers a service to those wishing to send out educational resources to Ghana, including managing shipping, clearance, storage and distribution.
